Volleyball Recap: Providence Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Providence Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat since October 1, 2024 on Monday. They came up short against the Middle Tennessee Christian Cougars, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the LIONS in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.

Providence Christian Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-23, 25-10.

Providence Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Middle Tennessee Christian, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1.

Providence Christian Academy and Middle Tennessee Christian should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The LIONS (ranked 74th) will meet The Webb School (ranked 254th) at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Middle Tennessee Christian will challenge Franklin Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (7 vs. 135).
