Baseball Recap: Orange Park Takes a Loss

Orange Park lost against Sandalwood back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Orange Park Raiders lost 13-5 to the Sandalwood Saints. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orange Park saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Contreras, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The dominant performance also gave Contreras a new career-high in RBI (two).

Orange Park's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Sandalwood, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Orange Park will take on Keystone Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sandalwood, they will face off against Parker at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Parker is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
