Baseball Recap: Libby Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Libby's offense. They came up short against the Polson Pirates on Thursday, falling 7-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 back in April.

Libby saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Wolfe, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Wolfe has snagged this season.

Libby is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-9. As for Polson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Polson beat Libby by a score of 7-0 later that day.
