Basketball Recap: Howell Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On Wednesday, the Howell Vikings didn't have too much trouble with the North Point Grizzlies as they won 64-47. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Grizzlies are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Howell's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1. As for North Point, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Howell will venture away from home to square off against Fort Zumwalt West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Point, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Charles at 5:30 p.m. on January 21st.
