Willow Spring proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over Corinth Holders. Three seems to be a good number for Willow Spring as the team scooped up a win with the same number of goals in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Fuquay - Varina kept a clean sheet against Corinth Holders two weeks ago. They won by a goal and slipped past the Pirates 1-0. Leila Utate had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Fuquay - Varina.

Willow Spring pushed their record up to 8-2-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matchups. As for Fuquay - Varina, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
