Baseball Recap: Clark Snags Fourth Win in Last Five Games

Clark barely beat Doral Academy Red Rock the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Chargers' pitcher stepped up to hand the Dragons a 13-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Chargers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

Clark got a massive performance out of Brody Ricci, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave Ricci a new career-high. Kellen Anunson was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Clark always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Doral Academy Red Rock only posted an OBP of .222.

Clark has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12-1.

Coming up, Clark will venture away from home to take on Western at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, they will face off against Cheyenne on Saturday.
