Basketball Recap: Cedar Bluff Tigers vs. Ashville Bulldogs
Cedar Bluff was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 64-43 to the Ashville Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 76-57 back in November of 2024.
Kuper Bradley was Cedar Bluff's leading scorer, having posted 13 points. Isaac Bishop held things down on the boards with seven rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ashville to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dalton Rice-Thompson, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Rice-Thompson a new career-high in steals. JB Potter was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Cedar Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Ashville, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
Cedar Bluff has already played their next matchup (against Sand Rock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Ashville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 73-51 defeat against Hokes Bluff on the 3rd.
