Softball Game Preview: Heber Springs Panthers vs. Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks

The Heber Springs Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Last Tuesday, Heber Springs earned a 7-3 victory over Morrilton.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Mt. Vernon-Enola ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Central Arkansas Christian 16-14.

Heber Springs' win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Mt. Vernon-Enola, their record now sits at 11-9.
