Volleyball Recap: Bacon Academy Takes a Loss

Bacon Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Montville Wolves. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Bacon Academy couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Montville a tough time in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-21, 30-28.

Ciena Feragne was the offensive standout of the game as she had eight digs and six aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (two).

Bacon Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Montville, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Bacon Academy will take on Griswold at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Montville, they will face off against Plainfield at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
