Little River Academy took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Lexington, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Little River Academy had just enough and edged out Lexington 6-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bumblebees have posted since February 13th.

Little River Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.2 runs over those games. The loss snapped Lexington's winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 13-5 record.

Looking ahead, Little River Academy will face off against Rockdale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Little River Academy is facing Rockdale at the right time seeing as Rockdale is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Lexington, they will square off against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Franklin will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Lexington surely won't give up without a fight.
