Baseball Game Preview: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Guajome Park Academy Frogs

St. Joseph Academy and Guajome Park Academy are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2022, but likely not for long. The Crusaders will be playing at home against the Frogs at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph Academy has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

St. Joseph Academy managed to slip by Chula Vista Learning Community Charter the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Crusaders lost 17-2 to the Cobras last Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Crusaders couldn't push the score so high this time.

St. Joseph Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mathew Adams, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Adams has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another was Conall McMahon, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Guajome Park Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-2 to Rock Academy.

St. Joseph Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season. As for Guajome Park Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.
