Montrose gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagle Valley Devils with a sharp 3-0 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Hawks also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Montrose not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Eagle Valley between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-18, 25-21.

Looking ahead, Montrose is taking a road trip to square off against Bayfield at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eagle Valley, they will take on Heritage in a tournament on Friday.
