Softball Recap: Windsor Comes Up Short

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bunnell Bulldogs. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Sydney H was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and five unearned) runs off nine hits. H was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Aaliyah G was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bunnell, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Windsor has already played their next contest (against Portsmouth Abbey), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Bunnell, they will be playing at home against Stratford at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
