Volleyball Recap: Elizabeth Rogers and Bree Benich Secure Win for Mt. Bethel Christian Academy

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the St. Francis Knights on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Knights on August 9th, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept St. Francis between 17 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17.

Leading Mt. Bethel Christian Academy to victory were Bree Benich and Elizabeth Rogers. Benich had ten digs and four aces, while Rogers had nine digs and five aces. Those five aces gave Rogers a new career-high. Sam Karel also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for St. Francis, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Looking ahead, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will challenge Centennial at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Francis, they will face off against Greater Atlanta Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
