Killingly hadn't done well against Ledyard recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Sunday. The Redmen came out on top against the Colonels by a score of 9-4. This was a revenge game for the Redmen: when they faced off against the Colonels back in April, they had to take a 10-5 loss.

Killingly is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Ledyard, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-3.

Killingly will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Colonels: the pair will be back at it again later today.
