Soccer Game Preview: East Jackson vs. Stephens County

East Jackson is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Tuesday. They will welcome the Stephens County Indians at 5:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

It was a Battle of the Birds when East Jackson duked it out with Flowery Branch on Friday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Falcons.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Stephens County's offense. They came up short against White County on Friday, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that Stephens County have lost by exactly six goals.

Stephens County's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for East Jackson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

East Jackson was able to grind out a solid victory over Stephens County when the teams last played back in March of 2025, winning 4-2. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
