Baseball Recap: Garden City Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for Garden City's offense. They came up short against the Manhattan Indians on Saturday, falling 7-0. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their loss to the Indians from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Garden City saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonathan Almanza, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Garden City and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Manhattan, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Garden City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 9-8 defeat against Liberal on the 22nd. Manhattan has also already played their next game (against Washburn Rural), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
