Softball Recap: Warwick Now 11-3 over Last 14 Games

Warwick had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Penn Manor on Wednesday. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Comets. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Kate Shaak spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Isabelle Heagy, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Marlee Martin was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Warwick has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Penn Manor, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-8.

Warwick didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-2 win against Annville-Cleona on the 10th. As for Penn Manor, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 6-5 loss against Lancaster Catholic on the 10th.
