Basketball Recap: Harrison Cohen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Boca Raton

Olympic Heights won the last time they faced Boca Raton and things went their way on Friday too. The Olympic Heights Lions secured a 65-59 W over the Boca Raton Bobcats. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Bobcats are ranked 413th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Olympic Heights to victory, but perhaps none more so than Harrison Cohen, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Cohen has posted since back in January of 2024. Sebastian Kamalzadeh was another key player, going 6 of 13 on his way to 17 points and five assists.

Olympic Heights' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-5. As for Boca Raton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9.

Olympic Heights will be playing at home against Grandview Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Olympic Heights is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.2 points per game this season. As for Boca Raton, they will head out on the road to challenge Atlantic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Boca Raton likes a good challenge.
