Baseball Recap: West Branch Comes Up Short

West Branch lost to Marlington on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors fell just short of the Dukes by a score of 3-1. The contest marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

West Branch's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-4. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 3.2 runs. As for Marlington, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Branch will venture away from home to take on Cardinal Mooney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Marlington, they will head out to challenge Ravenna at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
