Basketball Recap: Veterans Memorial Chargers vs. Harlingen Cardinals
Veterans Memorial lost against Harlingen back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Veterans Memorial Chargers fell to the Harlingen Cardinals 69-64. Luis Rodriguez was his usual excellent self, putting up 23 points for Harlingen. Rodriguez's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Alex Hernandez was another key player, earning 15 points.
Veterans Memorial has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season. As for Harlingen, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 24-5.
