NC H is still winless after their matchup against New Life Camp on Thursday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-8 heartbreaker at the hands of the Storm. On the bright side, the eight- run effort marked the Heat's highest-scoring contest to date.

NC H's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for New Life Camp, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1.

NC H will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Statesville Christian at 4:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Heat will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for New Life Camp, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Wake on Friday.
