Altamont came tearing into Friday's match with 11 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Wayne Badgers 22-5. Considering the Longhorns have won seven games by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Kiley Crapo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with four runs, two doubles, and one triple. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Altamont got a massive performance out of Hadley Mecham, who scored three runs while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Preslee Thacker, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Altamont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Altamont pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Wayne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Altamont will take on Pinnacle at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 22.75 runs per game on average), something the Longhorns will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wayne, they will face off against Panguitch at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Badgers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bobcats have averaged an impressive 14.1 runs per game this season.
