Basketball Game Preview: Littleton Lions vs. Kennedy Commanders

The Littleton Lions will take on the Kennedy Commanders in a holiday battle at at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Littleton easily dispatched Englewood on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Littleton fell just short of Thomas Jefferson by a score of 43-40 on Thursday.

Erica Levene put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted eight points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards. Addy Giles was another key player, putting up six points.

Even though they lost, Littleton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Thomas Jefferson only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Meanwhile, Kennedy had to endure a four-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Thornton 61-29.

Littleton now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Kennedy, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
