 Fostoria has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will  challenge the Oak Harbor Rockets at 5:45  p.m.  on Wednesday.
 Things were looking good for Fostoria after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell  10-7 to Genoa Area.
  Trent Smith put in work no matter where he played. He  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Smith was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Matthew Balderama made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Anthony Kleinmark, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile,  it may have taken  eight innings to finish the job, but Oak Harbor ultimately got the result they hoped for  on Monday. They walked away with  a   7-3  win over Otsego. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Oak Harbor.
  Michael Lalonde spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on four hits.
 At the plate,  Karson Lash was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nolan Bickelhaupt, who  went 1-for-4 with three  RBI.
 Fostoria's defeat was  their eighth straight at home, which  dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Oak Harbor, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record  this season.
 Fostoria suffered a grim  11-0 defeat to Oak Harbor  when the teams last played  back in April. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of  Oak Harbor's  Caleb Baker, who   didn't allow a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out nine over four innings pitched.
