The Windsor Jaguars will challenge the Novato Hornets at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.5 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Windsor didn't have quite enough to beat San Marin and fell 6-5.

Isabel Uricoechea made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Haley Homan, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Novato didn't have quite enough to beat Pinole Valley on Monday and fell 8-6. The Hornets have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

Seanna Madsen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Allie Tubach, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Novato now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Windsor, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Novato's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Windsor has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.5 hits per game. It's a different story for Novato, though, as they've been averaging 10 hits. Given Windsor's sizable advantage in that area, Novato will need to find a way to close that gap.

Windsor took their victory against Novato when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0. Will Windsor repeat their success, or does Novato have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
