The Carrollton Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the Douglas County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Carrollton comes in on nine and Douglas County on four.

Last Friday, Carrollton humbled East Coweta with a 63-10 victory. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won eight games by 22 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Julian Lewis, who threw for 416 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt. Caleb Hudson did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 75 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, while Douglas County put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Chapel Hill. Douglas County took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Chapel Hill. That 42 point margin sets a new team best for the Tigers this season.

Douglas County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was DJ Bourdeaux out in front who threw for 219 yards and a touchdown while completing 88.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and a touchdown. Zamarcus Lindley was in the mix as well, providing Douglas County with two touchdowns.

Carrollton pushed their record up to 9-0 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Douglas County, their record now sits at 8-1.

Carrollton didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Douglas County when the teams last played back in November of 2021, but they still walked away with a 35-31 victory.
