The Casa Grande Gauchos will square off against the Vintage Crushers at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Casa Grande comes in on four and Vintage on five.
Casa Grande is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Justin-Siena on Friday as they made off with a 14-1 win. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Georgia Moss made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Casa Grande let Evelyn Baca and Lucy Da Roza run wild. Baca scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Da Roza scored two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Da Roza a new career-high in RBI (two). Haley Learn also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Casa Grande always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Vintage put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout last Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sonoma Valley a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Crushers have won three games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Angie Rubalcava made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Carlee Carter, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Sydney Morton was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles.
Casa Grande's record is now 7-3-1. As for Vintage, their record now sits at 6-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Casa Grande has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Vintage struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.4 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Casa Grande came out on top in a nail-biter against Vintage when the teams last played back in May of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Gauchos have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Crushers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
