Softball Preview: Boone Grove Wolves vs. Munster Mustangs        
        
		
            Boone Grove and Munster are an even 3-3 against one another  since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Wolves will be playing at home against the Mustangs  at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Boone Grove is coming into the  contest hot, having won their last four games.
Boone Grove proved they can win big  on Saturday (they won by nine) and  on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Valparaiso  4-2.

 Amanda Powell made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off   nine  hits. What's more,  she posted four  strikeouts, the most she's  had since back in April. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Olivia Treece, who  went 1-for-2 with three  RBI, one  run,  and one  double.
 Meanwhile, while Munster put up plenty of  runs on Monday, the same  can't be said for Chesterton. The Mustangs blew past the Trojans 13-0. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won ten matchups by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Munster is  on a roll lately: they've  won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Boone Grove, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
