Softball Recap: Wissahickon Trojans vs. Upper Dublin Cardinals

Wissahickon extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They lost 6-0 to the Upper Dublin Cardinals. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

Julia Lentz was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases. Those stolen bases were her first of the season.

As for Upper Dublin, the victory got them back to even at 2-2. They not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2025 (when they won 17-0).

On Upper Dublin's side, Kyla Garrison made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Garrison has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one home run.

In other batting news, Paige McKenna was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Sophia Vitella was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Coming up, Wissahickon will be playing in front of their home fans against Plymouth Whitemarsh at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Upper Dublin, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 win against New Hope-Solebury on the 27th.
