Basketball Recap: Lackey Takes a Loss

Lackey lost against Patuxent back in December of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lackey Chargers were beaten by the Patuxent Panthers 63-27. The Chargers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it eight in a row.

Lackey's record now sits at 1-16. As for Patuxent, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.

Lackey and Patuxent could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings. Lackey (ranked 270th) will meet Huntingtown (ranked 65th) at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Patuxent will challenge North Point at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 203 places (236 vs. 33).
