Baseball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 22-6 to the Elkins Elks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wolves of the 26-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Lincoln saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jhett McLeavy, who went 1-for-3 with two runs. The Wolves are 2-1 when McLeavy posts two or more runs, but 1-12 otherwise.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Elkins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will host Ozark Catholic Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkins, they will square off against Valley Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
