Football Recap: Chicago Christian Takes a Loss

Chicago Christian fell victim to Bishop McNamara and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 75-0 loss at the hands of the Fightin' Irish. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Fightin' Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Bishop McNamara's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julius May led the charge by rushing for 58 yards and three scores on only five carries. May also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up 0.5 sacks, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles (3.0 for loss). Jordan Callaway was another key back, rushing for 90 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Chicago Christian and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Bishop McNamara, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Chicago Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-0 defeat against Marian Central Catholic on the 26th. As for Bishop McNamara, they have also already played their next game, a 45-42 win against Aurora Christian on the 26th.
