Baseball Recap: Santa Rosa Academy Victorious

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Santa Rosa Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves 9-8. The game was the first time the Rangers have beaten the Wolves on their field since April 21, 2023.

Elijah Brewer and Brayden Gosy did most of the damage at the plate: Brewer went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double, while Gosy went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Santa Rosa Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.

Santa Rosa Academy now has a winning record of 5-4. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
