Basketball Game Preview: Meadow Bridge Wildcats vs. Man Hillbillies

Meadow Bridge is on a five-game streak of home losses, Man a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Friday. The Meadow Bridge Wildcats will host the Man Hillbillies at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Meadow Bridge came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss on Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Mount View by a score of 48-45 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since February 14, 2024.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Riley Roberts, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 12 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in February of 2024. Kierston Rozell was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Even though they lost, Meadow Bridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, Man came up short against Liberty on Friday and fell 49-38.

Meadow Bridge's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Man, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Meadow Bridge took their victory against Man in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 61-40. Does Meadow Bridge have another victory up their sleeve, or will Man turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
