Softball Recap: Valley's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Two

Valley won the last time they faced Greenville and things went their way on Friday too. The Cavaliers never let the Lakers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Cavaliers have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 5-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.5 runs over those games. As for Greenville, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-8.

Looking ahead, Valley will face off against Temple Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Bereans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.11 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Greenville, they will take on Penquis Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
