Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Creek Wolves vs. White House Blue Devils

The Liberty Creek Wolves will take on the White House Blue Devils in a tournament on Thursday. Liberty Creek is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Liberty Creek's usually-dominant pitching crew will be looking to make up for Friday's struggle, when Rossview hitters got past them. The Wolves lost 12-2 to the Hawks on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wolves have suffered since April 4, 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask White House). They put the hurt on Montgomery Central with a sharp 15-4 win on Monday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Blue Devils with their most commanding win of the season.

White House is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-12 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Liberty Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Liberty Creek skirted past White House 5-3 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
