TERRA Environmental fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Goleman on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Gators by a score of 9-8.
TERRA Environmental got a good showing from Abel Martin, who pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits.
At the plate, Noah Moreno led a balanced group of hitters, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and an RBI. Michael Gutierrez was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2.
Meanwhile, St. Brendan was able to grind out a solid win over Columbus on Monday, taking the game 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Brendan.

In other batting news, Brandon Roca was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Jorge Heredia, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
TERRA Environmental's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for St. Brendan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season.
