Volleyball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Stockton Tigers. The Knights were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

While Lakeside was not able to win a set, they sure kept things interesting: every set was decided by exactly two points. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23.

Josie Bowles paced Lakeside's offense, picking up six kills. Bowles got some help from Jaycee Remus and her seven assists. Ariel Fisher controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Stockton, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-6.

Lakeside wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Chase on the 22nd. As for Stockton, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Wheatland-Grinnell on the 20th.
