Baseball Recap: East Hamilton Finds Home Field Redemption Against Whitwell

There's no place like home for East Hamilton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Whitwell Tigers 5-4. The Hurricanes have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers on Thursday, too.

Miguel Fernandez was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Peyton Harris was another key player, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-2.

East Hamilton now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Whitwell, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-1.

East Hamilton wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 11-1 defeat against Red Bank on the 7th. As for Whitwell, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 loss against Cleveland on the 7th.
