Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Calvary Christian unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Alamance Christian Warriors by a score of 58-55 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougar of the 59-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2024.

Calvary Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Andrew Neal, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 14 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Dodson, who posted ten points along with six rebounds and three blocks.

Calvary Christian has already played their next matchup, a 61-51 victory against City Baptist School on the 13th. As for Alamance Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-39 win against River Mill on the 14th.
