It was a good run, but Cooper unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 55-54 to the North Hopkins Panthers. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Ramos, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. Cooper is 9-3 when Ramos posts ten or more rebounds, but 1-3 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Devin Dial, who went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points and six boards.

Cooper's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 10-6. As for North Hopkins, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13.

Cooper has already played their next match (against Yantis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. North Hopkins has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Cumby.
