West Grand waltzed into their match on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Gilpin County Eagles. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2023.

Brooke Terryberry paced West Grand's offense, picking up nine kills. Terryberry got some help from Matti Hayes and her 16 assists. Hayes also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Brooke James, racking up six apiece.

Despite the defeat, Gilpin County had strong showings from Adele Fisher, who had nine digs and four aces, and Jennifer Rodriguez-Jimenez, who had 17 digs.
