Softball Recap: Lawrence Triumphs

While Lawrence's win against Perry-Lecompton wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lions narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Kaws 2-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Kaws recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Lawrence got a great performance from Julia Norris as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 6.2 innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Harper Dye, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2024.

The victory got Lawrence back to even at 2-2. As for Perry-Lecompton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Lawrence nor Perry-Lecompton have any future games scheduled.
