Basketball Recap: Liberty Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

If Las Vegas wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Liberty, they should've done a better job of containing Satsuki Bradley. The Liberty Patriots were the clear victor by a 53-31 margin over the Las Vegas Wildcats on Tuesday thanks in part to Bradley, who posted 16 points and six steals. That's the most steals she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Neviah Nick, who had 11 points and five steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.3 steals per game.

Despite the loss, Las Vegas saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sariyah Johnson dropped a double-double on 14 points and 17 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Amanii Darby, who scored five points and eight rebounds.

Liberty has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Las Vegas, their defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-15.

Liberty will head out to take on Spring Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Spring Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Las Vegas, they will be playing at home against Faith Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
