Volleyball Recap: Thorp Comes Up Short

Thorp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They came up short against the Stanley-Boyd Orioles, falling 3-0. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Orioles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-8, 25-7.

Thorp's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Stanley-Boyd, they are on a roll lately: they've won 23 of their last 25 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 34-3 record this season.

Thorp does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stanley-Boyd, they will take on Rice Lake in a tournament on Saturday.
