Baseball Recap: Barneveld Comes Up Short

Barneveld lost against Belmont back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Braves by a score of 3-2. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Braves since on Friday.

Barneveld has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Belmont, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Barneveld will take on Weston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belmont, they will venture away from home to square off against River Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
