McClave is a perfect 9-0 against Las Animas since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Cardinals will take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Las Animas will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: McClave extended their winning streak to six on Thursday. The Cardinals claimed a resounding 44-7 win over Swink. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Cardinals just coasted through the last quarter.

McClave didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryan Bronniman and Drew Howe. Howe got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Las Animas' strategy against Holly on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Trojans blew the Wildcats out of the water with a 58-6 final score. With the Trojans ahead 46-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

McClave better keep an eye on Orion Martinez. He was instrumental in Las Animas' win, rushing for 142 yards and one touchdown on only 15 carries.

McClave's record is now 6-0. As for Las Animas, their record now sits at 5-1.

Everything came up roses for McClave against Las Animas in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 36-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
