Football Recap: Tri County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After flying high against Southern last Friday, Tri County came back down to earth. The Trojans were outmatched by the Exeter-Milligan/Friend Bobcats and fell 60-22. The Trojans have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Tri County still got an impressive performance from Garrett Smidt, who rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Smidt is becoming a predictor of the Trojans' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't).

Tri County's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Tri County will venture away from home to challenge Thayer Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Trojans' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they will head out to take on Sandy Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
