Basketball Recap: Christopher Triumphs

While Christopher didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Vandalia Vandals by a score of 44-33 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Bearcats also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2024.

Christopher's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Vandalia, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Christopher won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Sandoval at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Vandalia, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll square off against Pinckneyville at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Panthers' defense has only allowed 29.4 points per game this season, so the Vandals' offense will have their work cut out for them.
